Partnership's Vision

The aim of the Partnership is to improve the quality of life for those living, working and visiting the area.

The Partnership complements the work of the Parish Councils, in its ability to source and secure funding for projects which would not be available Parish Councils.

It also, where possible supports and encourages sustainable and economic development within the communities by providing advice and support to businesses and voluntary community groups.

Considerable progress has been made since the inception of our first Business Plan in 2007.  The Partnership reviewed and adopted a new plan in April 2012. The Trustees are well aware of the need to deliver projects that both meet the needs of the community and are seen to be delivered well, promoting and encouraging sustainable development is paramount in all projects as is the need to improve the quality of life for all those who live, work and visit the communities.  As there had been some duplication with the original thirteen objectives, the new workplan has been consolidated to cover 7 main areas of activity, against each of which are clear desired outcomes and measures of success.  In order to achieve this the objectives have been given an order of priority within the year,  with progress review dates for each objective programmed for discussion at Partnership meetings throughout the year.
The Partnership will also work to facilitate smaller social enterprise projects for which it will charge appropriate brokerage or management fees.

The seven objectives in priority order are as follows:

1.    Improve access to training and work opportunities, and support Business Development

2.    Encourage and support projects to benefit young people

3.    Improve access to services for the more isolated in the partnership area

4.    Encourage and support projects to expand provision for the elderly

5.    Become a more self-sustaining organisation

6.Raise the profile of the Partnership to increase understanding and awarenessin the local communities served by the Partnership

7.    Support Businesses and encourage Tourism
