The aim of the partnership is to improve the quality of life for those living, working and visiting the area.  The Partnership compliments the work of the Parish Councils, in its ability to secure funding which would not be available to the Parish Councils.  It also, where possible supports and encourages sustainable and econimic development within the communities by providing advice and support to businesses and voluntary community groups.

The Partnership is managed by a board of up to 12 trustees who represent the wider area and include Parish Councilors, Business representatives, as well as general members of the local community.  The trustees meet each month at venues throughout the area with the puropse of reviewing and monitoring progress of projects and agreeing future actions and commintments.

The Partnership work is supported by a Partnership Officer, who works part time but covers the work of the Partnership over a five day period, Monday to Friday.  The Partnership officer is based at the Station House, Bellingham, which is now owned by the Partnership
