North Tyne and Redesdale Community Partnership,
If you live in the North Tyne we are your Local Charity, If you have an Idea for a project or you would like to be involved please get in touch, we are always looking for volunteers to help. Contact details are at the bottom of the page
The aim of the partnership is to improve the quality of life for those living, working and visiting the area. The Partnership compliments the work of the Parish Councils, in its ability to secure funding which would not be available to the Parish Councils. It also, where possible, supports and encourages sustainable and economic development within the communities by providing advice and support to businesses and voluntary community groups.
The Partnership covers the area up the North Tyne and Rede valleys, incorporating the parishes of Bellingham, Byrness, Corsenside, Falstone, Kielder, Kirkwelpington, Otterburn, Rochester and Tarset & Greystead.
The Partnership is managed by a board of up to 12 trustees who represent the wider area and include Parish Councilors, Business representatives, as well as general members of the local community. The trustees meet each month at venues throughout the area with the puropse of reviewing and monitoring progress of projects and agreeing future actions and commintments.
The Partnership work is supported by a Partnership Officer, who works part time but covers the work of the Partnership over a five day period, Monday to Friday. The Partnership officer is based at the Station House, Bellingham, which is now owned by the Partnership
